We found our first allergy

KC got bit by a gnarly mosquito Thursday night, right on the side of his head near his left eye. This first picture is from last night around 9pm, and the last one is from this morning about 20 minutes ago. Sometimes his other bites would swell and end up like a rash but nothing like this. I tried putting a cool pack on it last night but he wouldnt sit still longer than 5 seconds. His Dr. opens at 9am this morning so hopefully they can see him. Saturday morning cartoons are no fun with one eye! Poor baby!

Prayer Request

Please say a prayer for my cousin, and his wife (Barfly, some may remember my previous rants) She lost the baby this week, and they both are just devastated. They just closed on a house about 1 week ago, and I dont know where all this is going to lead them. I hope with all my heart they are able to get through this together and still remain a family. She had gestational diabetes with her 1st pregnancy pretty bad, and I know she had been having issues with skyrocketing sugar levels but they are still not for sure what happened.

Its very, very sad and I dont even know the words to say.

TRAITOR....me??

Yes, yes, I am a traitor. You see my love for Disney is so strong that I havent been to any other theme park since 1997 when I last went to Busch Gardens. Living in Florida is a vacation dream anyday of the week, there is Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and now Hollywood Studios which make up Disney World, (yes Disney World is actually 4 parks for some that may not know that), Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and Busch Gardens all within a short drive. All these choices but really with my way overpriced, kinda Florida discounted annual Disney pass, there is no other choice. So, until last week I had not ever thought about cheating on my true love......until we got some free tickets courtesy of my BIL! Hey, KC told me he wanted to go play in the water and see meerkats so I couldnt say no.


We went last Thursday and it rained the first half of the day. As soon as it quit we loaded up. Once we got there and pulled out the stroller I swear on my life the tire was flat! We went to buy a patch for the tube, and in natural pit crew action the Hubby and I patched that tube, put the tire back on the rim with 2 pens, aired it up and went back to park. After the slight delay we were in the gate and ready for fun. We saw lots of animals, The Hubby & I ate some BBQ, I rode Shiekra, we played in the water play area for kids, rode the carousel; it was just a fun and relaxed afternoon. KC loved the fish, turtles, elephants, and the meerkats. Oh did he have fun watching the meerkats, or did they have fun watching him?? I'll let you be the judge.


Just to clarify I did wear a Disney hat to show my love, come on now.

Wordless Wednesday

Today..

Today, marks the one week spot for the Hubbys surgery.

Today, I made him go for pre-op all by hisself.

Today, I am not looking forward to the week ahead and the weeks that will follow.

Today, I wonder why everyone always thinks that I am so strong.

Today, I thank others from the bottom of my heart for providing my family the financial aid needed to pay for Hubbys surgery 100%, healthcare for one year, and $20,000.00 in bills that were already accumulated, all paid for by donations to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

Today, I wish that one day we will be able to help someone else like we have been helped.

Today, my mind wrestles with the thought of my Hubby not being here.

Today, I try to tell myself everything is fine.

Today, I want this surgery to be the last surgery.

Today, I worry.

Today, I hope.

Today, I pray for my Hubby and others.

Oh what a glorious evening, if you're really expecting something glorious then please dont read!

I left the house this evening right around 6pm leaving KC with the hubby for a quick trip to Wal-Mart for some Tide, shaving cream, razor blades, toothpaste, and a handful of Easter goodies. After checking out and spending $48.72 on on 8 items I headed to the car in tears remembering the good 'ole days when I could walk in a store and not worry one second about how much money I was spending. Not today though, today I am saving change, clipping coupons, and adding things in my mind as I buy them not forgetting to add the tax. So with my mind racing about all our finances I pull out of the parking lot headed to spend some more money we really dont have feeding my gas sucker. I had my blinker on to make a right and a car zoomed up behind me and to keep this non driving fool from crashing into me, I hung my right hit the curb and my tire blew out on the sidewall which I already knew was not fixable. Lovely! Just great, and these tires are about $200 a piece so I knew this was going to be fun. I tried calling the hubby for over 30 mins. to no avail, so I called the in-laws and he was there but he was in no way happy and hung up on me. Once he got there it was, I know you were talking on the phone, which I was not, how can you hit a curb like that, why didnt you just let the dumb ass hit you, do you know how much a new tire is gonna cost, were you not paying attention, do you realize this is the 3rd time you've done this, (which was later recanted, it only happened one other time in 2000 when I jumped a huge curb Dukes of Hazzard style in my Celica and in my defense I drove a Z71 truck before that). Anyways, thankfully this all happened at the gas station and minus my precious cargo, but it was still a pain in the keyster. The hubby went back home to get all the necessary tools to put on the spare and instructed me to sit in the car. I was more than happy to sit in the car because I knew we were on the edge of a argument so I patiently waited for the all done signal so I could go back home. Much later in the evening when I was done making supper, that was almost 2 hours late the hubby decided to apologize and say sorry for being so mean. I responded by saying no big deal, I hit that curb on purpose just to make his life a little more crappy today, I did it with intent and forethought just to be able to suck some more money out of our savings which is now non-existent. Im really nice to, right? Grrrrr, is there anything else I can screw up or make worse? The good part is I will only be buying one tire, not four! I think Sneaky Momma jinxed me on the tire deal, so Im totally blaming her for my mishap since I never once laughed while reading about their tire adventure. Im baaaack!

I made it back to FL after driving over 12 hours on Sunday. My laptop is still not back from getting fixed so I have been on turtle speed internet and I havent had the patience to post anything. My trip was less than exciting, it was ok but I can think of about 10 other things Id rather been doing but oh well, its over now.

My computer should be back by Friday so I should be back soon.
