Do they have Intervention shows on this stuff? Oh yea and the rules....well since I technically dont know 25 people on here to tag, I have improvised sending some via email. Disney Day

We only have one computer in the household at the moment and I havent been able to sit down in front of it long enough to share anything. I missed out on NMM and everything! Hopefully I'll be back on track by next week.

I decided I would go to the World (Disney World that is) on Tuesday for the day since I havent been at all in 2009. Actually I havent been in the parks in almost an entire year so I have been battling withdrawals here lately and decided I needed my "fix". So KC & I took off by ourselves to go visit the Mouse in all his magical glory at Magic Kingdom. We got there around 1pm and it was not crowded at all, the longest wait I saw was 20 mins at the Peter Pan ride and 20 mins for Space Mountain. Since KC isnt quit ready for the big rides we took it easy. We rode Pirates of the Caribbean, I forgot it is pretty dark in there, and KC was stuck to me like glue. He didnt cry or act scared, but I could tell he wasnt comfortable with all those ugly Pirates and the canons going off, but we made it through. Next we rode Its a Small World, which he loved! We rode Dumbo, then KCs favorite the carousel. Since it wasnt crowded we stayed on the carousel for 3 turns without getting off, KC was laughing & giggling the entire time. We went to Toontown to see Mickey Mouse, & he decided he didnt want to wait in line to see him after all. We ate Mickey Mouse ice cream while we waited for the parade to come. (sorry I didnt get pictures of that mess) I noticed KC was getting that sleepy look so I decided to head out before the parade crowd. Luckily we left when we did, because we got to ride up front on the monorail since there werent many people wanting to leave. We went to Downtown Disney and did some shopping, then went to one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat...The Earl of Sandwich, its a sandwich/salad/goodies place. Oh my gosh, if you ever see one STOP! They have the best sandwiches and salads you'll ever eat. And the brownies and sweets they have when you pay are to die for!(What workout plan??) We finally made it back home around 6pm much to the Hubbys surprise, he thought I wouldve stayed for the fireworks. It was a very relaxing day to say the least, nothing else matters when Im there. Everything is pushed to the side and forgotten about as soon as I drive under the Disney arches when you enter WDW. Then you always have to come back to reality once the day is over....if I could just live in Cindrellas castle life would be grand! Here are some pictures of our day, for being solo I think I did pretty darn good.

Oh, and did I mention we are so going back on Sunday Super Bowl day. Twice in a week, how great is that!

Heath Andrew Ledger

Heath Andrew Ledger
4/4/79-1/22/08

I was really upset when I heard Heath Ledger had died last year. Reason one because I knew he was the same age as me, and its just weird to think of people my age dying. You expect old people to die...its inevitable. At 28 years old you think you still have many years ahead of you. Reason two is because I knew he had a child, a daughter. It breaks my heart to think of that little girl growing up without her father in her life. All the important occasions where shes gonna be missing her Daddy and longing for him to be there by her side. My father passed away in a car accident when I was 9, and I can still recall the moment I learned he was gone. When youre a child you cant quite grasp the concept of death....I didnt anyways. I can remember vividly all the moments I did realize he wasnt going to be there. There have been more than I can count over the almost 20 years its been. My middle school football throw contest where I was the overall girl winner for the whole school. I know he wouldve been proud of that! My first boyfriend, my first prom, graduation, my wedding, and the most recent...the birth of my son. I know how I felt at each of these moments, wondering what my dad wouldve said to me, wondering how proud he wouldve been. Wondering how different my life might have been had he been here. It saddens me to think that anyone might have some of the same empty thoughts I had growing up. People say time heals all wounds....I dont believe that. It doesnt matter how much time passes, losing your father is something that never heals.

My dad was 29 when he died, one year old than Heath was, the same age as I am today. When I think about that it makes me want to enjoy every second of my life. All of it, the good, the bad, & the ugly. Never take one day for granted, because we are not guaranteed tomorrow.

MMMMMMMM Tacos!

taco=bell Pictures, Images and Photos

Who got their 20 cent tacos today??? I have to admit I (we) did! My fantastic hubby waited in line around 1pm in a 17 min. line to bring me home my own 5 soft and 5 hard tacos with sour cream. And they were good! I went by later this evening and the line wrapped around the building and was literally out in the road...a 3 lane highway to be exact. Ahhh what a great country we live in, free tacos with the 1st African American as President. I wonder what other GREAT things we can expect....I guess we will have to wait and see.

For those who havent gotten their 20 cent tacos, I think you have a few hours left...you better run for the border fast! :-)

And for those wondering no KC would not eat the tacos, he had honeydew, grapes, corn dog nuggets, (He just started eating these last week, I was amazed...he ate meat!...well sorta) and some spinach puffs.

Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Here goes my first attempt at "Not Me Monday", hopefully I will get better at this as I go along.
I did not finally talk to my mom and go eat lunch with her after not speaking for almost 3 weeks. What kinda mean spirited daughter would do a thing like that. I did not tell my mom that she was being ridiculous and needed to grow up(shes 50) and start to appreciate the family she has, instead of dwelling on the people that decided to leave her. And I could go on & on about what was not said during this conversation.

I did not go on strike and not wash a single load of laundry ALL week until Saturday.

I did not wake up at 2am on Friday to clean up doggie pee & poop in my kitchen from my dog Bambi who has siezures. I did not lay in bed at 6am listening to my hubby gripe about him having to pick up the same thing from the same dog again. I so did not tell him I already cleaned up the mess once and I wasnt getting up for it again clean it up yourself.
I did not have to mop the floor and clean it all up again on Sat. afternoon because she did it AGAIN.

I did not make a huge pot of homemade Chicken 'N Dumplins only to watch it be devoured by my hubby, and our small army of friends that just happened to show up.

I did not get ticked at my hubby on Sat. nite at 10:30pm
for deciding to go hangout by the fire at our neighbors down the road leaving me with 2 sleeping kids. Afterwords I did not go build my own fire and hangout by myself with my own fire, and I did not bring my baby monitor, and ipod. Who needs a man to do those kinds of things for you anyways?
I did not enjoy the hubby spending all day with me on Sunday, even though he ditched me the night before.

And last but not least I certainly did not enjoy my week at home with KC reading books, playing outside, riding on the golf cart, sliding, watching cartoons, and just watching him grow.

**One more thing I was not SOOOO happy when the Bucs fired John Gruden, how could I forget that.

Wow, I didnt do alot for my first try!

Eczema anyone?

Anyone have any good input on getting rid of baby eczema?? KC has sensitive skin and has a bad outbreak last (FL) winter. I use Mustela products, and they have a line out called Stelatopia for eczema that has always worked well for us. Until now....its been getting worse over the last 2 weeks and its all over his face, arms, thighs, booty, back, yeah pretty much everywhere. The only thing that has changed is the weather being colder, no diet, detergent changes. We were just at the Dr. last week, and the week before that with a cough/cold, and I hate to get that Oh, back so soon look from the girl that checks us in. Not to mention the nice insurance adjusted, inflated, over-priced, goin towards my deductible, bill that comes in the mail the week following every visit. But, hey whos complaining....?

Come on, I know theres gotta be a old home remedy floating around somewhere out here!

PS - Im going to make an attempt at tommorows Not Me Monday

I ain't got no boy

The title is from a song my hubby sings ALL the time; from a guy thats not heard on the radio, and plays the bass guitar like nobody I've ever seen. That's the hubbys new obsession: the bass guitar, amp. included. I've tried to ignore it and act like it doesn't bother me, but the truth is it makes my eardrums feel like they are gonna burst! Not to mention the every 5 mins. "babe, listen, listen" from the next room, like I havent been listening the whole entire room. I cant NOT listen as much as I try. Im glad he has things he tinkers with (well a whole garage), but its now invading our living room. Its inspiried me to to all sorts of new projects like reorganizing the laundry room, and my storage shed. Im thinking if he comes home and plays this evening I might just pressure wash the fence. I shall see in about 2 1/2 hours. I wanted to share a picture of our boy, since we really do have one. And since Im kinda figuring this stuff out...very slowly.

Photobucket

This is our son KC. He is almost 17 months old, and always on the go. He loves books, Oswald, riding, and playing outside. KC just got a sandbox outside, and now he plays in it everyday. He is trying really hard to be a vegitarian, as he prefers to eat only veggies, fruit, and the weird good for you stuff. Hes never ate a french fry, or drank Coke either. Hopefully this time next year I can say the same thing as far as his eating habits go.

Happy Wednesday!
